Community Guidelines
Effective date: September 12, 2026
WeWandr is a place for families to share what they learned from trips they have taken. Our goal is to make family travel feel more possible through honest, practical, and respectful experiences.
By creating an account, publishing a guide, uploading content, or participating in the WeWandr community, you agree to follow these guidelines.
Share Real Experiences
WeWandr is built around lived experience.
Please:
- Share trips you actually took.
- Be honest about what worked, what did not, and what you would do differently.
- Clearly distinguish your personal experience from facts that may change.
- Avoid exaggerating, fabricating, or intentionally misrepresenting a trip, property, business, destination, or experience.
- Update or remove information you learn is inaccurate.
Remember that prices, hours, rules, safety conditions, accessibility, and availability can change. Whenever possible, encourage readers to confirm important details directly with the relevant provider.
Protect Children and Personal Information
Guides and profiles published on WeWandr are public. Please think carefully before sharing personal information about yourself, your children, or anyone else.
Do not post:
- Children's full names, schools, childcare locations, or contact information.
- Home addresses or precise real-time locations.
- Passport details, travel documents, booking confirmations, or financial information.
- Medical or other sensitive information about another person without their permission.
- Photos of children or adults when you do not have permission to share them.
- Information that could reasonably put someone's privacy or safety at risk.
Sharing a child's general age at the time of a trip is helpful. Sharing information that could identify or locate that child is not.
Be Kind and Constructive
Families travel differently. Advice that works for one family may not work for another.
You may disagree, ask questions, or share a different experience, but please do so respectfully. We do not allow:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation.
- Hate speech or discrimination.
- Personal attacks or deliberate humiliation.
- Sexual or exploitative content.
- Graphic violence or content that could endanger a child.
- Repeated unwanted contact.
- Encouraging dangerous or illegal activity.
Share Content You Have the Right to Use
Only upload photos, writing, files, and other material that you created or have permission to share.
Do not copy another person's guide, article, photograph, itinerary, or other work and present it as your own. If you refer to someone else's work, give appropriate credit and include a link where possible.
Before sharing a planning document, confirm that its permissions allow readers to view it and that it does not contain private information.
Keep Recommendations Trustworthy
We want families to understand the context behind recommendations.
If you received money, a free stay, a gifted product, a discount, or another benefit connected to something you mention, clearly disclose it in your guide.
Do not:
- Post undisclosed advertising or affiliate links.
- Manipulate views, reactions, comments, “This Helped Me” activity or shared links.
- Offer incentives for positive recommendations.
- Impersonate another person or organization.
- Use WeWandr primarily to send spam or promote unrelated products and services.
Help Keep Information Accurate
If you see information that appears outdated, misleading, unsafe, or inaccurate, contact us at support@wewandr.co.
A report does not automatically mean the content is wrong. We may review the content, contact the contributor, add context, limit its visibility, or remove it.
How We Enforce These Guidelines
Depending on the circumstances, WeWandr may:
- Ask a contributor to edit or clarify content.
- Remove particular content.
- Limit access to certain features.
- Suspend or terminate an account.
- Preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with the law or protect someone's safety or rights.
We will consider the seriousness of the issue, its context, and whether it is repeated. When appropriate, we may provide an opportunity to explain or correct the issue.
A Shared Responsibility
Every guide has the potential to make another family's trip easier. Share thoughtfully, protect people's privacy, and offer the kind of context you would want when planning your own trip.
